It's a long story. And maybe it's not at all applicable here, but I was undergoing something similar to a "monstrous" transformation in my own world. It's not so simple, and I can't be sure of what exactly was going on, but I started to develop reptilian scales on my body.

This happened after I defeated the dragon named Fafnir.

I've started learning stuff to help Nero out - there's potions that soothed his skin where it's turned all uh

That's good to hear. I'm sure he appreciates it immensely. It also sounds like he's having a much more difficult time than I ever did. What percentage of the epidermis would you say is covered with scales right now?

I have noticed that those who do well with fire tend to have a similar sort of personality.
