[ AUFYGUAEYFG DW bc yes.. it is very much understatement of the year hennie
So on that note, whenever Siegfried manages to get his way towards the cafe, through the disgusting hoard of zombie tree folk.. He'll spy Lottie just kind of frantically checking her device every so often, sitting right next to the open window of the cafe where a robot (in a maid dress) is pouring her more tea. She won't notice him at first, instead real time texting him - ]
[ Later, he'd have to ask her what that chatspeak means. He sees it on his way out of the door, but seeing as how he can't text and walk at the same time, he chooses to believe it's some form of saying "okay, goodbye" and heads out.
It's a good thing he's taken precaution and chosen to leave only after putting on his armor, just in case there were any straggling zombies on the way.
Lord, are there zombies.
When Lottie told him it wasn't urgent, he wonders what situation Lottie would consider urgent, because there is no way he's getting into that cafe without a little slaying. So yes, there will be a bit of a delay as he swings his sword as broadly and efficiently as possible, sword outlined with a sheen of light that actually obliterates them.
Sorry but he won't be replying right now, but Lottie will probably get her answer in the form of a defeated zombie being hurled into the next (closed, shatterproof) window over from where she sits. It makes a horrible, very loud SMACK.
He'll then use a pile of their wood to launch himself upwards, landing on the windowsill and crouching like some deranged Batman.
[ Lottie shrieks - and then cowers a little following that abrupt and deafening smack to the window. Her heart rate promptly picks up, hands shaking because what just happened?? What just happened!! The robot beside her takes clunky steps back, equally confused and a little more frazzled because look at that mess. They clunkily hop over the body to grab their coworkers, completely missing Siegfried's entrance.
Jesus. No one is going to believe her if she ever mentions this encounter!
A hand goes to her chest in an attempt to reel her heart in, the projection showing her earlier messages to him quickly being shut off. ]
Why.. WHY are you Batman crouching??
[ She stands up and out of her seat, grabbing her purse and clutching it to her person as she stares up at him. Couldn't he just, she doesn't know, slay zombies like a regular person? Lottie has too many questions and, quite frankly, will never get the answers. ]
[ He's never heard of whoever this may be, but it doesn't sound like a compliment. He steps through the window and into the interior of the cafe, looking around. None seem to have made it inside, save for the body he'd just chucked in.
He looks back to Lottie. ]
You told me it wasn't an urgent matter, so I was caught off-guard by the horde. In my surprise, I may have gone a bit overboard.
[ How does she explain she just didn't want to seem crazy or.. Needy, by saying there was a zombie tree horde threatening to ruin her day?? Or kill her, probably??? ]
Ohh, yeah, I'm fine! Better, actually.
[ Immensely better knowing he has no qualms on convenient, unethical, murder when Lottie needs it. She smiles, stands up and follows after him (not before grabbing a bag from the counter and stuffing her snacks inside). She hovers behind him like a puppy, steps a little unsure but still eager, ]
Those things just kinda freaked me out a little so I probably overreacted to the whole horde thingy.. Thanks for coming though!
Actually, I'd probably say you underreacted. You made it seem as though you needed a quick favor, not to be freed from a horde of monsters.
[ Even now, she's claiming they "freaked her out a little", when most people would have been visibly freaking out a lot rather than sitting there, drinking tea, pretending everything is okay. ]
I'm glad I came prepared, even if I may owe the cafe some credits to pay for damages later.
Do you need me to escort you somewhere?
[ The robots are giving him a lot of dirty looks, and one of them is already trying to snatch Lottie's bag of snacks away from her, clearly making the connection that Lottie had brought trouble here. ]
[ Oh? So did her playing it cool for precisely no reason.. Work? She'll be sure to mark this down later, for now, she moves a little closer to him once the employees make themselves known. Ugh, these robots are so rude!
Lottie tries to hold back her scowl, and the eye roll that so desperately wants to be free, instead clutching her things tighter to her person. ]
Uh. Home..? If that's okay.
[ She points in some vague direction - a street with comparatively less monsters, but still equally torn up and suspicious looking. ]
You don't need to do any crazy jumping or anything.. [ Mostly because she can't jump or fight like he can - also because she's wearing a skirt!! ] We can just speed walk or something!
wtf i accidentally deleted this notif i'm gonna go feral
[ The robots are indeed rude, but it is his fault, kind of, so he feels bad. He tries to make up for it by momentarily pausing and transferring a big chunk of credits to the business. It makes the main offending robot back up enough so that they can leave. ]
Yes. You'll just have to point out the way, and we should leave before they decide I haven't compensated them enough.
[ He nods when she points out the direction. ]
We'll probably run into some of them taking that street, but it's alright.
[ He's not cocky he's confident okay he's a little cocky. ]
We can just walk normally, unless you'd rather speed walk. [ Whatever floats her boat... as long as they don't walk backwards like Wataru made him do. ]
[ Preferably: always speedwalk. Lottie would rather die than be caught by one of those ugly tree zombie things, so her answer is quick and firm: ]
We're walking fast. [ They have leftovers after all!! ] I don't want to spend another minute in here with these things.
[ The things being.. The incoming zombies or the robots?? It's hard to tell and she'll never elaborate! Lottie takes the lead, out the door and tentatively into the road. Despite how her steps are filled with purpose, she's visibly suspicious - eyeing every which way with an urgent look to her eyes. Still, she tries to play it off like she isn't nervous or petrified at the idea of being attacked or pulled in a random ass alleyway, asking - ]
