[ Aspen is very careful about delivering this present to Siegfried - he doesn't want to make any rumors crop up, so he's discreet about it and sends it to where he's staying instead of giving it in person. Of course he could since Siegfried is the first person he goes to when he needs to be walked back home. The present is wrapped in a dark blue with light flecks of gold, like the starry night sky, wrapped up in a white ribbon.
The card attached to the ribbon reads: Merry Solstice! Somehow... even though I feel so close to you, you're hard to figure out what to get. Everything feels like... it wouldn't be serious enough for you, so I tried something else instead. I hope you like it. Thank you, for always protecting me.
Inside, there's a book, leather-bound and decently thick. There aren't any words inside, though - no, instead, all of them have pictures. Photos - not all of them are of people, some are of locales in picturesque views. Even this hell of a city can look beautiful or mysterious, and Aspen's gotten used to his camera. The main attraction is the people he's taken pictures of, and there's a good amount of the people from PECs here - Sen laughing with a bright red face, Vane and Percival arguing, Eustace and Kamui in the back looking a bit unsure (or maybe just contemplative? Who knew, with those two) but they're all clearly enjoying themselves. Siegfried himself is in quite a few pictures, looking more at ease than he probably feels. Pictures of the horizon on the Sensual Maria, from high up... it documents the few months the both of them have been present. Of course all of what's happened here hasn't been good, but the page at the end has a doodle of a watercolor slug, a tart, and a few musical notes.
Clearly not everything has been bad.
He's included a few ties for him as well - a subtle jab for him to wear more formal wear? Who knows. Most of them are in eccentric patterns.
There's also a pack of no-bake cookies - peanut butter balls rolled in white powdered sugar to make it look like snow, chocolate-hazelnut truffles, and dipped pretzels studded with peppermint candy. They're not the neatest... Aspen clearly had some trouble making them, but they're quite tasty. ]
